Friender helps teams understand how work actually happens, where AI actually fits, and where it can create measurable value. That means privacy is not a side topic for us; it is part of the product contract. This Policy describes our handling of information across the public website, demos, assessments, and product experiences.
1. Scope and Roles
When you browse our website or contact Friender directly, Friender typically acts as the business collecting and using that information for its own purposes. When a customer connects workspace tools, uploads material, runs an assessment, or enables interviews or operational analysis, Friender may process information on that customer's behalf as a processor, service provider, or similar role under applicable law and contract.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with Friender, we may collect the following categories of information:
- Contact and account data: name, work email, company, job title, login information, and communications with Friender.
- Commercial and support data: demo requests, onboarding details, billing contacts, service tickets, and contractual history.
- Usage and device data: browser type, device identifiers, log data, approximate location from IP, page usage, and security event data.
- Workspace and integration data: tool metadata, workflow events, connector status, timestamps, system records, and other operational context made available through connected services.
- Meeting, interview, or conversational inputs: notes, transcripts, prompts, recordings, or summaries if a customer chooses to use those workflows.
- Derived outputs: readiness scores, workflow maps, reports, recommendations, summaries, ROI models, and similar product outputs generated from source data.
3. How We Collect Information
- directly from you when you fill out forms, request a demo, sign in, or communicate with us;
- from your organization when an authorized user invites Friender into a workspace or shares files, transcripts, or system access;
- from connected third-party services such as collaboration, ticketing, CRM, and scheduling platforms;
- automatically through logs, analytics, cookies, and security monitoring tools.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to operate, secure, and improve Friender, including to:
- provide website functionality, demos, onboarding, assessments, and customer support;
- authenticate users, prevent fraud, detect abuse, and maintain system security;
- analyze workflow behavior, generate reports, surface AI opportunities, and produce product outputs requested by the customer;
- communicate with customers about service changes, updates, support, events, and commercial opportunities;
- comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect rights, safety, and property;
- improve product performance, reliability, and quality, subject to contractual commitments and applicable law.
5. When We Disclose Information
We may disclose information:
- to service providers that help us host, secure, support, analyze, or deliver Friender;
- within a customer's workspace or organization where a user is authorized to share outputs internally;
- in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, or similar corporate transaction;
- when required by law, legal process, or valid governmental request;
- to protect Friender, our customers, and the public from fraud, security incidents, or misuse.
6. Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including to provide services, resolve disputes, maintain records, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type, customer configuration, and contractual commitments. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it in accordance with our retention program.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and the nature of our relationship with you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict certain personal information, or to object to certain uses. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. If Friender processes information on behalf of one of our customers, we may direct your request to that customer where required.
8. International Transfers and Security
Friender may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use contractual and operational safeguards intended to support lawful transfers. We also use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.
9. Changes and Contact
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide additional notice where appropriate. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to hello@friender.ai.
